There are many post order shops in Sweden. For a period of time some years ago (when I was a poor student living in a friend's computer room) I only shopped by post ordering. It was my excause for not going into town. Nowadays I still post order from time to time, it's always fun to browse their catalogues for some new ideas.
Another important reason for me when is comes to post ordering is that many of them have brand shops intergated into their websites.
A major benefit: Most of these post order shops always give your a very generous discount coupon for your order over a certain amount. Otherwise they usually give you a "premier" (free gifts, e.g. towels, travel bags, home stuff) when ordering. I have received many of them!
Here is my case story:
At the beginning of November I found a winter jacket at Esprit in Marieberg Gallerian, though they did not have my size in the colour I wanted (I took the opportunity to try my size in another colour). So I turned to www.ellos.se and found my precious!!! The price tag for the coat is 1299 SEK in both places, but I had a 500 SEK discount coupon (under the condition that the order is > 1500 SEK) at Ellos so I chose another two pieces of clothing, and the total was only 1091 SEK for the entire order (including their fee for handling 44,9 SEK and invoicing 19 SEK).
Here is the order when it arrived, and even more discount coupons!

But there is always a risk what if something does not fit? The black top I bought was too small, so I had to return the piece and change to a bigger size. If you do the return through internet, the return cost is only 30 SEK extra, which will be added to your invoice.
To avoid extra handling fees, the best way to pay for your order is by "faktura" (invoice), which you can apply at the same time as you send in your first order.
Anyways, I still prefer to do most of my shopping in the real world. But post ordering does carry that certain thrill of excitement and saves the time and the hassle (espeically when I am not in a mode of leavning my place). And post ordering will always be my back-up if I can't find what I am out after.
My conclusion:
Give it a try. It will probably take a couple of purchases before you really understand how the whole thing works. Just don't be afraid. It's more fun than you can imagine and at a very favourable price.
These are the shops which I have used through out the years, I have bought mostly clothes, shoes, cosmetics and even fitness stuff through them. Go to their websites and order a free catalogue!
